A big celebration! The Enthusiasm-Awakeners singing group recognize their name anniversary on 27 July.
Utpal —the great journalist who chronicles the daily adventures of the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race— captured our little party held on the course the 23 edition of that race.
The beginning of the video shows the elite ultra-marathoners arriving just before 6am at the start of *Day 42* of the race. The race is held for 52-consecutive days; the runners run the course from 6am-midnight each of those days — with the aim to complete 59.6 miles each day < !! >. Keep a close eye out at the beginning — that yellow board has the mileage each runner has completed as of the end of Day 41 (2,696 miles for Asprihanal, the lead runner. He finished the race with 3,100 miles a week later on Day 48). See the link below for more info about the race itself.

Utpal’s blog, Perfection Journey, captures some of the inner and outer joys and struggles of these super-athletes and super-aspirants. He has been able to capture the essence of the Race due to his own self-transcendent dedication to coming out to the Race every-single-day for more than 15 years. It is a delicate job to interview the runners who can be exhausted from their intense task — but Utpal does it with skill, humility, humour, respect and diplomacy.
